Dahongpao, the King of tea, grows among the cliffs of Wuyi, natural and pure, always ranks first among rock teas. The production area of Dahongpao has a temperate climate, cool in summer and warm in winter, and its average temperature of the whole year is between 18 and 18.5 Celsius degree. This area has plenty of rainfall, averaging about 2000 millimeters a year. Besides, there are deep mountain streams and natural flows between peaks, hills, rocky valleys that are in blinding cloud and mist constantly all the year, with the average yearly relative humidity at about 80%. Most tea plantations are in the midst of these valleys and streams, surrounded by chains of mountains, so that the tea plants have a relatively short sunshine duration and little wind damage. All these ascendant natural conditions contribute to a particular charm of rock tea.



Infusion Condition
As for tea sets, a tureen or a dark-red enameled pottery is preferred. Put adequate tea, and infuse it with boiling water. The first infusion of tea is for washing the tea leaves, and it is not for drinking. The time needed by the flowing infusions can be decided by individual taste.
